    Prologue

    A child born with a gentle soul, molded by a cruel and unjust world, and the terrible influences of a sociopath. At the tender age of five he had the misfortune of witnessing the gruesome murder of both his parents, which shaped his very being. After the death of his parents he was taken in by an aunt he'd never met before, and she was none too happy about it. The fear of the murders caused her to hire a bodyguard by the name of Viktor, someone who was entirely absorbed with his position. He didn't talk, or interact with the broken family much. But Corbin, at such a young age, didn't respect the boundaries. It took years, but the kid seemed to grow on the hardened bodyguard. He was taught to shoot, to cause physical harm, and to kill at a young age. The line between right and wrong soon became blurred in the child's mind. He was trained, his body and mind were constantly pushed to their limits, and the only reward was the subtle signs of approval he would get from the unfortunate role model.

    Just when it seemed he could sort his life out, start fresh, a blood moon ripped that dream away. Cursed by a rouge werewolf, he was plagued more than ever by the darkness in his mind. Terrified of hurting those he'd grown close to, he made himself scarce. Living in the woods, far enough away that he wouldn't risk hurting anyone... only himself...
